Graphic design is all about communication and so is science. As a scientist I have realized the importance of graphic design in communicating my own science. I have learned to utilize my skills to help others communicate their science as well.
SCIENTIFIC FIGURES
"Macromolecules"

This graphic was requested as a teaching tool to describe the different scale at which we can think of lipids and proteins.
"Introgression within Salticidae"

Introgression is gene flow between taxon. This graphic was created to demonstrate how through repeated backcrossing, genetic information from species A (red) can enter the gene pool of species B (blue)
"Substrate-borne sound"

Although the majority of life on earth uses vibrations on solid objects to communicate, this is not well known. This graphic was used to explain how substrate borne sound is utilized by jumping spiders in sexual communication.
SCIENTIFIC POSTERS
Creating a scientific poster is an important part of sharing your research. Creating templates with school logos is a simple way I help make a poster appear more professional.

INFOGRAPHICS
Infographics are a practical way to make your science available to a wider audience. This graphic was used to present the the methods section of a research projects I created at New Mexico State University.
Seeding Regenerative Agriculture
This Graphic was used to spread information about what the SRA program is. This did this as work with the Non-Profit Cruces Creatives.
RESEARCH SymposiA

"BIOSYMPOSIUM"

This flyer was made to advertise for the NMSU Biology department's research Biosymposium.

"Southern ASBMB Regional Symposium"

I made this flyer for the Southern ASBMB regional Symposium in 2021.
